Being active and moving more is the key to having a healthy heart.

Children tend to be more active when they are outdoors rather than when they are indoors.  Our tamariki were engaged in 'Yoga' today which helped in the development of better motor skills, concentration, and thinking skills.

As this kind of physical activity was quite new for our tamariki, we started with a little warm-up and gradually moving from being into Dhyan mudra to different asanas which helped in strengthening and improving their flexibility.

Increased movement and physical activity does create healthy habits and has numerous benefits for the children. It helps improve confidence, self-esteem and also in developing healthier social, cognitive, and emotional skills.

It was such a great experience to see tamariki joining in our yoga session and how well they could balance their bodies and concentrate.
