Giant Pumpkin Competition
On April the 28th, BestStart Balclutha entered our lovely wee paukena, Kinny in the 2019 South Otago A & P Show Giant Pumpkin Competition. Kinny had grown very slowly but still came 8th out of 13 entries. Kinny was 7kg, the biggest paukena in the children’s section was 41kg and the heaviest overall was 48 kg! Something for us to aspire to next year.
The day was full of fun for all, animals to pet, pumpkin ice-cream, bouncy castle, market stalls, a magician and music.
Our tamariki had entries in the colouring competition, I heard many excited whānau seeing their tamariki had their entries on display.
It was a wonderful feeling to be a part of an exceptional community event with our whānau enjoying the fun and being a part of the action
