Starting your little one at an early learning centre is a big step — for them and for you.

We understand that leaving your baby or young toddler in someone else’s care can bring a whole mix of excitement, questions and emotions.

That’s why, at St Andrews, we place relationships, trust and connection at the heart of everything we do. Our vision, “Growing Great Together,” begins from the very first day. We take the time to get to know your child — their favourite things, their routines, their ways of communicating, and the little things that help them feel safe and settled.

For our under 2s, everyday moments are full of learning. A cuddle, a conversation, a song, tummy time, exploring different textures, discovering a new object or sharing a story are all opportunities for your baby to learn about themselves and their world. Our teachers are there to notice the little things — the determined attempt to crawl, the excitement of discovering something new — and to celebrate these moments alongside your whaanau.

We also understand that every child is different. Some children settle quickly, while others need a little more time and reassurance. We work closely with you to make the transition as smooth and positive as possible, keeping communication open so you feel confident and connected to your child's day. We want our youngest tamariki to feel that our centre is a place where they are known, listened to and encouraged to explore.

Because those first years are so incredibly important, we’re proud to provide a nurturing environment where our littlest learners can begin their early learning journey — surrounded by caring relationships and plenty of opportunities to discover, grow and have fun.
