Hindu Festival of Holi - Colour Festival
To top of the marvellous month of March, we’ve just had our Hindu festival of Holi (colour festival). We held a colour run event for our tamariki and whanau which was so so fun! Our tamariki loved getting saturated with beautiful colours and spreading the love of colour to everyone else. Afterwards some of our whanau brought us some Indian kai and we shared a morning tea together. At wā whāriki / mat time we learnt what the Holi festival was all about; learning about the story of Holika and Prahlad. Our tamariki had heaps of fun and was awesome to learn about another cultures’ festivities. Thank you all for such a wonderful event!
