What an exciting day it was at BestStart Lemon Street as we celebrated Holi, the Festival of Colours!
With laughter, vibrant colours, and the whole whanau involved, it was a celebration full of joy and creativity.
We kicked off the fun with some Holi-inspired artwork - tamariki unleashed their creativity, making colourful handprints and bold patterns on paper. It was amazing to see each child’s unique masterpiece and watch their imagination come to life with every stroke.
Throughout the day, the delicious aroma of aloo parata filled the air, as whanau came together to make this tasty treat. Tamariki and parents worked side-by-side, rolling out dough and filling it with spiced potatoes – a perfect way to bond and enjoy each other’s company while preparing something delicious to share.
Finally, to end the day with a bang, we had a colour run! Tamariki, parents, and kaiako joined in, running, laughing, and getting covered in vibrant colours. The joy and excitement were contagious as everyone celebrated the spirit of Holi in the most colourful way possible. Each tamariki also received a keepsake t-shirt, splattered with all the colours of the day – a perfect memento of the fun-filled event.
Holi at BestStart Lemon Street was a day of creativity, community, and joy. Huge thanks to our whanau for making it unforgettable – here's to more vibrant celebrations ahead!
