Home of the Brave's Plunket Awareness Week
At Home of the Brave, we believe in whakamanawa, manaakitanga and awhina. We love showing support for our community and supporting agencies, and so we participated in Plunket Awareness week. Throughout the week we engaged in experiences that shared the blue theme, these activities sparked conversations and questions, bringing awareness to the Plunket foundation, and the significant mahi that they do. Throughout the week, we hosted a variety of events for our tamariki to enjoy;
Wacky Hair Day, who could come to Kindy with the craziest hair stlye?
Wheels Day, where we set up a bike track outside for our tamariki to race around on their own bikes/ scooters from home.
Finally. we hosted a fundraiser within the community to slime a Kaiako! The Kaiako with the most votes/ donations was slimed! It was fun for all - Kaiako and tamariki! Alongside this we raised $116 for Plunket, ka rawe whānau!
Our tamariki learn from doing, from experiences, and so we aim to make every learning experience exciting and memorable.
