Easter magic came to life at BestStart Māngere East! Tamariki laughed, explored, and discovered hidden treasures in our Easter egg hunt, while creative activities and whānau fun made it a week full of learning, love, and celebration.
At BestStart Māngere East, we love celebrating special occasions with our tamariki, and Easter was no exception! This year, we marked the Easter season with a fun and engaging Easter egg hunt that brought so much excitement and joy to our centre.
Our tamariki couldn’t wait to begin the hunt—baskets in hand, eyes wide with curiosity and delight, they searched high and low around the playground and classrooms for brightly coloured eggs hidden by our clever Easter Bunny. It was a beautiful opportunity to encourage exploration, problem-solving, and teamwork in a playful and meaningful way.
The day was filled with laughter, smiles, and the spirit of togetherness as the children shared in each other’s discoveries and celebrated their finds. These kinds of events are about more than just fun—they help foster a sense of community, strengthen relationships, and create treasured memories for our tamariki and their whānau.
We also incorporated Easter-themed learning experiences throughout the week—such as arts and crafts, storytelling, and songs—that helped build a deeper understanding of the season and supported creativity and expression.
