During the month of May, the tamariki at BestStart Glasgow Street have been experiencing a sense of wonder and awe with peers and teachers through their ingenious constructions with the use of blocks.
The children have been challenging themselves, showing perseverance and creativity by making fences in the sandpit to protect their volcano, a raised circular train track, a nest to hide in, tower building with friends seeing just how high they can go.
All of the excitement and fun during these amazing creations is developing our children's life long skills of team building, leadership, perseverance, early mathematical concepts, problem-solving and open communication with their numerous explorative construction projects. I wonder what will happen next?
