It all starts with kindness
This month there are many children transitioning from the infant's room to the preschool room. With this we have invited 5 new infants into the infant room.
We have encouraged kindness and helping hands to assist the infants as they settle in their new room.
Our older Tamariki the toddlers, are great at entertaining and comforting the infants.
They help teachers to pass flannels, when a teacher is feeding an infant a bottle the toddlers sometimes come and join in and try to hold the bottle as well. They pass toys when an infant needs it or try to soothe them when they are upset.
It is beautiful to see their random act of kindness during their play. As our vision is : Whether big or small, the gift of kindness sets children up for life, it is a blessing to witness tamariki do something nice for someone else and that kind of simple act could make a big difference to their friends. We are looking forward to experiencing more ‘acts of kindness’ in the Under 3’s room.
