Jo from St John came for a visit
Today we had Jo from St John come in and talk to us about first aid and what to do if someone needs help. She showed us all sorts of different equipment the paramedics would use and let us feel the oxygen coming through the mask. We got to play different games and had to listen carefully for the siren sounds.
The children were all very engaged in the mat time and had great fun practicing with the bandages. The conversation around Jo's visit have carried on and the dolls have all been made to feel better.
These experiences allow the children to build connections between the centre and their community.
