Some BestStart South Rd tamariki, whānau and kaiako attended the ANZAC Dawn Service at the Hāwera Memorial Arch and laid a wreath from our centre community.

Over the past couple of weeks tamariki at Preschool have been making paper poppies from red-painted heart shapes and leaves from green-painted hand prints, which we assembled into a wreath. They also helped to construct a wreath from rosemary and other natural materials, both of which were laid at the Arch this morning.

Our ANZAC activities will help provide a strong foundation for children's growth in learning respect and care for everyone, regardless of difference.
