Our whole centre is involved and contributing to this shared interest. Teachers are following the children’s interest and bringing it into all areas of our New Zealand early childhood curriculum, Te Whariki and our children’s individual development plans. Through fun activities we are able to support and teach our children positive learning dispositions, these are about attitudes, skills or knowledge that provides a foundation for life long learning.  Below are some of the dispositions that we use to guide our observations, assessments, goals and learning outcomes:

Creating, imagining and innovating - Auahatanga Social Skills.

Determination, perseverance and persistence- Hirianga Thinking.

Relationships and connections- Whanaungatanga Self Management.

Caring, nurturing and loving- Manaakitanga Physical Skills”
