Haere whakamua Go forward

How do we uphold the treaty of Waitangi, Te Tiriti o Waitangi here at BestStart Lynmore? We acknowledge, uphold, support and embrace the principles through partnerships, participation and protection.

We treasure our taonga our tamariki(children)

The health and well-being and holistics of our tamariki are nurtured and protected.

We embrace partnerships with whānau, hapu and iwi

We respect and care for our environment Papatuanuku our earth mother

We promote Te Ao Māori within our daily curriculum. This includes Waitawa Māori (Māori songs), pakiwaitara ((stories such as Hatupatu and Māui) speaking Te reo Maori and incorporating tikanga practices,  We talk to our tamariki about nga atua (guardians). We include all our children’s heritages within our centre.

We believe in supporting all our children’s diverse cultures and identities within our centre with the aim to make it all as natural as possible.
