Matariki at BestStart Girven Road
One of our koro taught us the astrological aspect of Matariki, while others put in the big hours planning for, preparing and then cooking our hangi. Other whanau jumped in to help set up for our huge get together, serving up the kai, doing the dishes and packing down at the end of the night. Our tamariki showed awesome courage and understanding of our waiata by performing for our beautiful learning community by the kai after Tabitha's inspiring and informative speech. Huge kia ora to all our whanau for the big turnout, the loving vibes and helping embrace our new whanau and our lovely new Head Teacher as part of our Matariki celebration. Arohanui te whanau!
