Matariki evening at BestStart Richmond Kindy
The Richmond team came together and prepared a mouth-watering hangi, with some parents/whanau offering a koha of kai towards it. The shared kai from our wide community of cultures was a deliciously, amazing treat; and as our Richmond whanau came together to indulge in the smorgasbord of cultural goodness, memories were shared, this being a moment which will be reminisced with a smile for quite some time. Our tamariki also enjoyed the opportunity of sharing a sneak peek into their kapa haka performance for the up and coming Tuwharetoa festival in September. The tamariki and their whanau also enjoyed the opportunity of participating in the variety of Maori crafts, such as weaving and sharing aspirations for the future.
