The preschool tamariki have enjoyed a wide range of messy play activities throughout this past month. It is through these activities that the tamariki have developed and extended upon their fine motor skills by using a variety of different equipment such as scoops, forks, spoons and most important one using their hands and fingers to feel, touch and explore with. Sensory activities are great for helping to facilitate exploration. This helps to naturally encourage the tamariki to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore.
