We believe in forming strong connections and fostering whanaungatanga/relationships from day one. We also believe that through respectful, loving and trusting relationships tamariki/children feel safe and secure. Check out some of the amazing stuff the kaiako have been doing of the term... Whaea Lynn is having fun in the sandpit with a group of friends.

They are discovering that sand is a great way for them to interact with each other. They are learning to share sand toys and dig holes together, they’re not only practicing social skills like turn-taking and collaboration, but also using problem-solving and language skills as well.

Plus, achieving a goal together provides a great sense of accomplishment they can share as a collective! Matua Jason really enjoys supporting our tamariki to explore the goodness in our outdoor playground. Play helps tamariki learn about the world and their place in it. Play helps tamariki/children develop in different ways – emotional development, physical development, learning and brain development, talking and reading, and not to mention social learning.

Whaea Nazia loves intentional moments. Spending quality time on building a relationship with a child and the family is very important to her. She also believes that if we get that relationship right from the start, tamariki feel secure and comfortable, then the child will be set up for life!
