Our amazing new playhouse!!
Recently the BestStart Silverstream Preschool received a very special gift from a member of the community. This exciting new addition has provided our tamariki with a quiet space to engage in imaginative play – as well as take responsibility for caring for the whare – sweeping and keeping their new space tidy.
On the day that the Playhouse arrived, all the children gathered at the window, watching with excitement and joy as the special machine lifted our new playhouse over the fence.
When it finally landed in our space, almost every child ran for the door. I do not think that the kaiako or parents had ever seen so many little people in one playhouse!
This is such a special part of our environment and we are so grateful for the thoughtful and kind gesture. Thank you so much to Bryan Pope – building contractor.
We were also lucky enough to be featured in the Northern Outlook! Just look at the smiles on our little friend’s faces!
