Here at Bremner Road, we know the importance of our relationships with our local school. Ministry talks about the smooth pathway for our tamariki into primary school. Our team takes this very seriously as we understand how this relationship benefits our children when they move into primary school. To make our tamariki's transition smooth without stress or anxiety we have developed a strong trusting relationship with our local school. On a Wednesday morning a group of our 4-year-old children go and join the Ngakaroa school assembly and then go to class with them.

This gives our children the confidence and knowledge of the school and that it is a great place to be and creates excitement at the next step in their educational journey. This keeps our centre and whanau connected with our local community and gives our children the very best start when entering school, our tamariki are confident and excited to go to school safe in the knowledge they know they have a place there as they did here.

This is only the beginning of our relationship with the school and next term we are planning on library visits which will include our toddler age group through to our 4-year-old groups and we are looking forward to welcoming the school children to do buddy reading here on site at Bremner road. Our centre is in the heart of the community and our tamariki reap the benefits of the relationships we have built and continue to build.
