Today our entire centre headed down to our local Gymnastics Club on a double decker bus to enjoy a morning of active movement and exploration. As a centre we have begun a tradition of celebrating Children’s Day each year by partaking in a centre wide excursion. This means all children, from our 3 month olds to our almost 5 year olds!  With everything packed and ready to go we set off down the road to experience our first centre wide excursion and what a hit it was. The gymnastics club offered experiences for all ages, our little wee ones got to crawl around on the mat, they had hoops and climbing blocks to pull themselves up on. Our toddlers and young children got to explore their physical capabilities by challenging themselves climbing up ladders, on the beam, swinging on the bars and ropes. But the crowd favourite was definitely jumping from the trampoline into the foam pit!  Even the teachers and parents enjoyed this!

After our fun exploring, the gymnastics club ran a mat time using the parachute, as a team we made waves and got to run on top of the parachute and then got to lie underneath it and watch it coming down on top of us. We finally finished up with a couple of our favourite Wiggles songs that we all love to dance along too!

We packed back up our stuff, hopped back on the bus, and heading back to the centre for a relaxing, sleepy afternoon.
