Time does fly as we're already heading toward the end of term 1! As we welcome our children and families back from much much-needed holiday, we started the year with lots of events and celebrations. Forest Kindy project resumed as we took a new group of our 4-year-olds to Melville Park, exploring what nature has to offer our children.

We know winter is around the corner but also very prepared this time as we received sets of overalls our children can use. We collected lots of natural resources and brought them back to share with the rest of the children. It sure is such a 'cool' project our toddlers and 3-year-olds look at as 'big kid stuff!' As an organization, we contributed to a week of Plunket fundraiser appeal. We had lots of fun and engaging activities for our children such as sensory play, painting, and baking which we then ended with a market sale to our community.

Our children loved meeting our friendly neighbours who also enjoyed some yummy treats from us. In our infants and toddlers' room, we have been exploring different foods which is a big part of their development milestones in young children. Different textures, tastes, and smells were not only yummy but also fun! In our preschool room, we've been making the most of the sunny playground.

Our children have been very interested in building especially in the sandpit area. We created a waterfall, volcano, bridge, dinner table and the list goes on.
