Our Herne Bay Adventurer Programme
This month at BestStart Herne Bay, we have started our much awaited “Herne Bay Adventurer” programme. Children went to Pt Erin Park in Herne Bay to explore and discover the natural world and their local community. Our tamariki couldn’t contain their excitement exploring many different things during their walk such as native tress, wildflowers, the overlooking beach but their most amazing find was a skeleton leaf. The discussion about the leaf went on for quite a sometimes. This programme will extend children various dispositions such as resilience, risk taking, problem solving, curiosity and sense of wonder.
This is just the tip of the iceberg as it was our first day of the trip. Many more exciting stories to come. Watch this space!!
