Our kai sharing stand
We have been sharing some of our own produce from the garden such as this big beautiful pumpkin! The children asked “what can we put on our shelf today?”. We had a look in the fridge and there wasn’t much available til Ryder suggested, “let’s look in our garden!”. We collected the pumpkin and cut it up. The children took turns glad wrapping it and took great pride in putting it onto our stand. At pick up time Jack took his family out to the stand, “can we please take some of our pumpkin, we growed it!”. Kyla, Jacks Mum, let him choose a piece for their dinner and replaced it with some feijoas from their tree at home. Such a neat way to encourage contribution within our tight knit community here at ABC Papmoa.
