Matariki has been celebrated in so many ways here at BestStart Paraparaumu and what a lot of fun and learning we have all had. Firstly we enjoyed a puppet show, then a group of our children from across all classrooms went to visit a manakitanga centre in our community for a powhiri . What a beautiful experience and a great learning opportunity for our tamariki and whanau that have never had the opportunity to experience something so beautiful.  To finish off our celebrations we had a whanau event here in our centre where activities where offered. It was lovely to gatherer together say karakia then enjoy a shared kai which was a great hit.
