Our playground renovation is underway!
Kia’ora, Namaste!
We’ve had such an exciting month with the renovations already starting in our mara/garden for a brand new playground. Our tamariki have been absolutely loving the exciting developments. At wā whāriki/ mat times we’ve been talking about what the builders and landscapers are doing, what it’s going to look like and talking about what we would like in our new mara/garden. Outside we’ve been watching from the safety of the fence at what’s going on. This week our tamariki were very safety conscious and made sure each other were wearing safety hats and safety glasses before approaching the fence. Some tamariki also set up a cordon themselves using some of our safety fencing and the stop sign; making sure that they were warned of the “danger” beyond the fence. Thank you for keeping us all safe tamariki! The highlight of the weeks so far was the truck that pulled into the car park to replace the skip. They were absolutely fascinated with the process and we explained what was happening, why and how it was being done. We can’t wait for the diggers to come next week! We’ve already been practising some digger songs.
