Our special Fathers Day celebration
BestStart Balclutha hosted our annual Fathers celebration on the 30th of August. What a fantastic, relaxed evening. We had the compulsory sausages, bread, tomato sauce and onions. Country waiata playing, different activities, chatting and of course a photo booth to capture the love and pride our tamariki have for their dads.
It was wonderful to hear one dad, who has two older tamariki, tell his daughter that after the celebration the two of them will go for a drive and get an ice cream, just for them! The look of pure glee his girl gave him, they were on a dad daughter date and she loved it.
It was an awesome opportunity to share with dads the learning their tamariki have been doing, looking over profile pukapuka and just getting to know them a little better, there was lots of relationship building tonight and a real sense of whanaungatanga.
