Over the past month, our Toddler tamariki (children) were as busy as little bees. They enjoyed exploring both inside and outside.

Messy play was always on the top of the list for them. Play dough with flour created a lot of learning experiences and benefits for their fine motor skills and development of senses. It was so amazing to see tamariki were feeling the texture, observing the colours mixing and also creating different shapes out of it.

Currently, kaiako are working with the children to develop their social skills through a variety of play. Tamariki are being given many opportunities to communicate with their friends, negotiate and problem solve. As two year olds to three year olds, children really begin to play interactively with their peers so it is important for role modelling to listen and show our toddlers how to form friendships, communicate emotions and how to deal with challenges.

We had a great time doing many different activities to celebrate halloween. Not only did we dress up, we also had face painting and jack-o-lantern carving.
