What a lovely morning our teina have had in the Nursery today at BestStart Raumati :) We put on our aprons and did a spot of painting on our big long tēpu (table). We did some amazing sharing of pots, brushes, paint and space! So much chatting and exclamation, as well as contemplative periods as we assessed our mahi (work). There was much camaraderie as we spent time together building new relationships and strengthening our friendships too. The creative vibes were everywhere! Our planning focus for the Nursery at the moment is literacy and activities like painting are fantastic - as tamariki (children) work their gross motor skills, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, communication skills and language skills, phewf! Then we had some fun water-play to clean everything up!
