Today, our centre was filled with pink, laughter, and lots of love as we celebrated Pink Shirt Day together!
This special day is all about kindness, friendship, and standing up for others—and our tamariki embraced it with joy and enthusiasm
We started the day by baking delicious pink cupcakes, with little helping hands stirring, scooping, and decorating with care. The children loved seeing their creations come to life—and of course, tasting them too!
Outside, the fun continued with pink balloons floating through the air. Giggles filled the playground as children chased, bounced, and played together, celebrating the joy of being kind and including everyone. Through simple moments like these, we help our tamariki learn that kindness can be fun, sweet, and something we share every day.
The way the tamariki embraced Pink Shirt Day with such enthusiasm shows the positive impact of kindness and inclusivity. Celebrating with activities like baking and playing together not only creates lasting memories but also teaches the children valuable lessons about compassion and teamwork. It’s amazing to see how such simple moments can have such a big impact on building a caring, kind community.
Here’s to more days filled with love, laughter, and aroha!
