At our centre, we are proud to offer Playball sessions for both our toddlers and preschoolers, creating exciting opportunities for learning through movement and play.
Some of our toddlers have signed up for this wonderful programme, which supports their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development in meaningful and enjoyable ways.
Every Thursday morning, there is a special buzz in the room as the tamariki eagerly anticipate Playball day. With excitement in the air, they prepare themselves by putting on their shoes and, during the winter months, their wet-weather gear before heading out to the paddock.
Coach Jess begins by thoughtfully setting up the environment with well-planned activities designed to encourage participation, coordination, and confidence. She then arrives full of energy, warmly greeting the children as she collects those enrolled in the programme.
Her patience, enthusiasm, and encouragement help each child feel supported and capable. The toddlers return beaming with pride, excitedly showing off their Playball stamps on their hands — a treasured reminder of their achievements. Each session also includes a “Player of the Day” certificate, celebrating effort and participation, and helping tamariki feel proud of their accomplishments.
Playball continues to be a joyful highlight of our week, fostering confidence, teamwork, and a love for active learning.
