This year BestStart Tory Street fundraised for Plunket during their annual appeal week. We held a bake sale where Kaiako made delicious teddy bear cookies and vanilla cupcakes to sell to our whanau raising over $200. Plunket is a national not-for-profit organisation and New Zealand's largest provider of support services for the development, health, and wellbeing of tamariki and whānau.

They are committed to providing universal access to services for all children and families regardless of ethnicity or location through our Well Child Tamariki Ora service and the range of community services offered to families. This is at the heart of who they are and is essential to provide a positive environment for parents.

We held a Teddy Bear day where all the tamariki brought in their own Teddy Bears for a special day and the Big Blue Bear came to Tory Street for a visit. He even posed for photos; A Lot of fun was had.
