Poumahaka tamariki were so excited to get their vests on and loaded into the bus pram so we could go and visit the local bird aviary and playground.
It is so great getting the tamariki out of centre.
They love waving to all of the big trucks and cars as we make our way over to visit Disco the bird and all her friends at Naish Park. Disco loves to have a good chat and a boogie which the tamariki absolutely love. After we waved goodbye to Disco and all her friends, we were off to Centennial Park to explore the playground.
Getting out of the pram at the playground was so exciting for everyone, smiles all round! Tamariki thoroughly enjoyed exploring the milk tanker, climbing through the tunnels and pretending to drive it around the playground. They had a great time challenging themselves on the climbing equipment, soaring though the air on the swings and exploring the small trampoline.
Kaiako were kaitiaki, picking up rubbish and taking it back to centre to put in the rubbish bin. Doing our part in looking after our community and being good role models for the tamariki. Poumahaka cannot wait for many more fun adventures!
