Ready for our cup of tea!
This afternoon I went into the Montessori classroom to offer Head Teacher Lucy her tea break, asking “Lucy are you ready for a cup of tea?”. Several children heard me and responded “I’m ready for a cup of tea!” giggling at me. So, we found our tea pots, some peppermint tea bags and had an impromptu lesson about making tea. We added some cold water to our hot tea to make it safe for our little ones. We smelled the tea and talked about what other plants can be used to make it. We opened a tea bag to see what was inside. When Lucy came back from her tea break she found all of her Montessori learners sitting at tables enjoying their own cups of tea. Happy tea time everyone!
