Revisiting our learning

At BestStart South Rd we revisited our learning by using ICT. We replayed some of the  videos we have recorded over the past few months when Matua Lui and the Kapahaka group from Hawera Primary visited as well as Matua Mike and the tamariki from Te Puawaitanga o Ngāti Ruanui Early Childhood Centre.

Nga tamariki were able to take charge of their own learning by using observation and watching the actions as they mimicked what they were watching on the screen. It was a joy to watch them as they concentrated so hard as they figured out how to coordinate all the actions in time with the waiata/song and had such fun doing this as part of a group, alongside their friends here at Preschool.

This helps build confidence in performing and pride as we all share our interest and learning about our Maori culture.  What great work their brains and bodies are doing as they use MUSIC and MOVEMENT to strengthen their body, mind and wairua (spirit and soul). Ka pai to mahi tamariki ma/ (very good job children).
