Singing our hearts out at mat time
At BestStart Tawa we have been learning fun new songs with our tamariki that include actions as well as other languages. We wanted to introduce new songs into our daily mat time in Toddlers. Kaiako did some research to find new songs to share in the class room and dug out some old ones we used to sing when we were little ourselves. Introducing the new songs have been a real hit.
Learning new songs has allowed our tamariki to share them at home with their whanau as well as introducing tamariki to different cultures and languages. Singing is very popular in our Toddler classroom and can be heard throughout our class room at any time of the day.
