Storytelling for literacy
This month our tamariki have loved being engaged in an environment that promotes 'Storytelling' and the many modes of Literacy learning. Moment's like these are beneficial for our tamariki as it builds their oral literacy skills, such as language acquisition and letter recognition.
BestStart Raureka is committed to ensuring tamariki are immersed in a language rich environment with an abundance of opportunities to extend on and build their knowledge, supporting them to become school ready.
Some of our tamariki favourite experiences over the month were 'acting out' the roles of the 'three little pigs' and being introduced to many other fairy tales along the way.
