Today Jude (our van driver) and myself (Koka Jodi), took Crystal, Heath, Kanishka, Jordan, Zaynab, Thomas, Cumorah and Meihana with the support of Rebecca (Crystal's mum) to the Sports Centre to be a part of the ECE Gymnastics Festival.  We had so much fun.  Sport Gisborne had five different stations set up so we had to sit down before each activity and listen carefully to out instructor so we knew what we had to do.  Each of the different activities involved different fundamental skills. These ranged from balancing on beams, hand-eye coordination with scarfs, upper body strength pulling ourselves up onto bars and rings, co-ordination through different tracks and so much more. We used our different muscles and motor skills but most of all we all had so much fun. We all actively participated and encouraged our friends when it was their turn, waiting nicely for ours. We got opportunities to be creative and expressive through movement allowing us to express ourselves. Overall today was great for everyone's body, health and development.
