Tawera Room Opens
We have opened our Toddler Room: Tawera Room.
At BestStart Beach Haven, we are excited to celebrate the opening of the toddler room; “Tawera Room”, from August 2024. We Kaiako strive to ensure our room is inclusive, accessible, warm, and welcoming environment that that our tamariki and their whanau feel comfortable, and grow a sense of belonging. We support our tamariki to experience a curriculum that is mana enhanced and empowers play, as play is a powerful tool for our tamariki to explore as it influences growth in social emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Each day we set out 16 Areas of play providing interesting play materials and opportunities for your tamariki to explore and have wonderful rich learning experiences. Each day we follow a daily routine: over time and with guidance and encouragement, children become increasingly capable of understanding how things work here and adapt to change.
Te mārama ki te āhua o ngā whakahaere me te mōhio ki te panoni. Our Kaimahi (staff) actively exercise cultural competency, expanding the use of te reo Māori, tikanga Māori to form reciprocal relationships and uphold tangata whenua.
