At BestStart Beach Haven, our philosophy is centred around Manaaki – to nurture and care – while our localised curriculum fosters the concepts of Te Whare Tapa Whā, Tikanga practices, and tuākana-tēina relationships. Our thoughtfully designed spaces encourage curiosity and exploration, allowing children to thrive.
Conveniently located in the heart of Beach Haven, our centre is close to parks and several primary schools, making it an ideal choice for local families. We value our diverse community and the many cultures within our centre. This cultural richness enhances our education and curriculum, fostering awareness and inclusivity.
Life at BestStart Beach Haven is vibrant and engaging. We emphasise strong foundations for school readiness, featuring a little library where children can borrow books and develop a love for reading. Regular community events bring families together, ensuring everyone feels valued.
We have a dedicated team that pride themselves on creating a warm, calm and welcoming environment for children and their families, where feedback and partnership are valued. We work closely with families to ensure each child’s developmental needs are met, creating a holistic and supportive educational experience.
Our centre boasts beautifully designed spaces encouraging exploration and learning. From calm and inviting indoor spaces to engaging outdoor areas, every part of BestStart Beach Haven inspires and enriches early childhood experiences. Large glass sliding doors create a seamless indoor/outdoor flow for each room. Children transition between rooms based on readiness and space availability.
We have been enhancing our nature space with the tamariki using natural and recycled materials like wooden sticks, shells, stones, and bottle tops.
