Teaching mindfulness
At BestStart Warrington, we believe it is important for our tamariki to learn how to self regulate and calm there bodies. Mindfulness is a new strategy we are teaching the tamariki, to slow down, learn breathing techniques and listen to their bodies. This has gained the interest of many of the tamariki with some eager participants ready to learn. During the breathing techniques, many of them commented how similar these actions are to yoga and promoted us to combine the two into our mindfulness sessions.
