The beginning of Matariki at Montessori St Albans

The tamariki have started learning about Matariki and the significance of the stars! 

We have started this focus off by cutting and pasting our own abstract star. Some tamariki used a line to follow, and some created their own star without, even more of a challenge!

The tamariki used their wonderful cutting and gluing skills to construct this artwork. We will continue to support the tamariki's growing interest in this focus over the coming months, we have lots more exciting things planned with our wonderful centre whanau to celebrate.... watch this space!
