Just to prove that we are all mad here, we decided to celebrate by having a mad hatters tea party!

Our senior tamariki have been really enjoying throwing tea parties. This has been a huge interest lately. It doesn't matter if they are set up inside or outside in the playground, they pop up everywhere! We have acquired some china tea sets that the children have cherished and have taken great pride in, you hear a lot of children reminding the others that they are breakable and they need looking after.

This then lead us to a dress up day...not just any dress up day but a 'Mad hatters' dress up day.

For a good week before the dress up our children were constructing crazy hats, decorating tea cups, reading crazy stories, getting everything messy out and making up our own tea concoctions. We had fizzing coloured water, shaving foam, corn flour and a whole lot more.

We had a shared crazy lunch and every one brought something to share and we even had a photo booth to take some photos to document how crazily we dressed up!
