In the Nest and Kōwhai, we walk alongside tamariki on their learning journey, fostering independence, confidence, and a deep sense of belonging. Our thoughtfully designed spaces and caring relationships help every child grow, explore, and thrive.
In the Nest and Kōwhai, we’re on a shared journey with our tamariki — nurturing strong, confident, and independent learners by walking alongside them every step of the way.
Together, we’re creating a space that feels like a second home, where each child feels safe, supported, and has a true sense of belonging.
In the Nest, we focus on building emotional security through warm, responsive relationships and consistent care. We take the time to notice, listen, and respond to our tamariki’s individual cues, creating a calm and trusting environment.
Through these early connections, we see confidence grow and the foundations for lifelong learning begin to form.
As our tamariki move into the Kōwhai side, we continue growing together, supporting independence and extending learning through play, movement, and exploration.
Our current focus is developing both fine and gross motor skills through intentional activities that meet each child where they are. You’ll see experiences such as playdough with natural tools, threading, posting, puzzles, and sticker play supporting fine motor control.
Obstacle courses, climbing boxes, balancing challenges, and ball games offer tamariki opportunities to build strength, coordination, and confidence.
Our spaces, both indoors and outdoors, are thoughtfully set up to invite curiosity, challenge, and success. With open-ended resources and kaiako who truly care, we shape each day together with the children’s interests and needs at the heart.
Our hope is that every tamaiti leaves feeling proud, empowered, and excited for what tomorrow brings.
