During February, we were fortunate enough to be able to be the audience of a Sharon and Alan Holt show. Sharon Holt is the author of a wonderful series of books that our tamariki are very familiar with. Her books are written entirely in te reo Maori and are centres around simple sentence structure as a means to learning te reo. Sharon and Alan performed four of their stories to highlight the ease of bringing te reo Maori to life with the stories, music, song and dress ups. The tamariki and kaiako adored singing and dancing to these familiar stories and thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
