At BestStart Glenfield a large part of our Philosophy is Loose Parts. 

Loose parts are any objects that can be used and moved around with no set purpose in mind. We provide these resources because we believe that children learn best through play. 

When children engage with loose parts it encourages them to use their imagination and allows them to explore math, science, and visual arts through patterns, weight, balance, design, and shape recognition. They develop their own working theories through trial and error as well as experimentation. The possibilities are endless for our tamariki.
