It was so nice for a small group of our tamariki at BestStart Hokowhitu to go for a spontaneous walk to our sister centre BestStart Marne recently. While walking from our centre we were able to learn about road safety as we carefully crossed the road and we learnt about numeracy as we looked at the different numbers on the mailboxes. While out on our walk we were able to find different animals and explore our community.

Once we got to BestStart Marne our four tamariki were so excited and it was extra special as one of our tamariki got to see his Nanny who was working in their babies room. They loved exploring their over two’s environment and engaging with the older tamariki while developing their manaakitanga. We look forward to our next spontaneous walk in our community.
