Dear Whānau (Family), This year we were thrilled to celebrate an absolutely wonderful Father’s Day here at BestStart Everglade Preschool. 💙
Our centre was filled with excitement as many of our amazing Dads joined us for an afternoon packed with fun, learning, and special bonding moments
It was heart-warming to see the strong sense of aroha (love) between our tamariki (children) and their rangatira tāne (fathers/leaders) throughout the entire event. We began our celebration with a beautiful performance prepared by the children, followed by the much-loved father and children dancing. 💃🕺
Watching the Dads confidently join in brought smiles to everyone’s faces, and the children were incredibly proud to share this moment. Each child also gifted their Dad a small taonga (treasure), made with care and creativity. One of the highlights of the day was our exciting builder-themed challenge. 👷♂️ F
athers and children teamed up to design a drawing of something they could build together. They then explored various construction set-ups that were placed around the playground, encouraging teamwork, imagination, and lots of giggles. The creativity shown by each pair was truly inspiring. ✨
