Our Montessori philosophy emphasizes the importance of fostering independence, creativity, and a love for learning in tamariki. With a focus on hands-on, experiential learning, which empowers our tamariki to become active participants in their own learning, encouraging them to pursue their interests and develop critical thinking skills.
By recognizing that each child is unique and has their own pace of development, our kaiako team provides a supportive and individualized learning environment, and guides our tamariki through carefully designed material and activities, allowing them to progress at their own pace. Through our thoughtfully prepared learning environment, we aim to ensure the environment is welcoming and engaging, filled with age-appropriate Montessori materials and activities that stimulate curiosity and hands-on exploration, which enables tamariki to develop essential skills such as problem-solving, concentration, and coordination.
We have two classrooms, the Paua room for the tamariki aged over 3-6 and the Pipi room for those aged 12 months to 3 years old. Our tamariki are thriving to be capable and confident independent learners within our child-centered and prepared environment.
