What learning through play looks like
Everyday our children play with resources like cars, trains balls etc. Today teachers brought complexity in play by putting all these resources together in trough with different sized planks. Children rolled the cars and balls down the inclined plank and observed the difference in their speed. The children were exploring physical science of force and movement. While having fun children were involved in problem solving, observing, predicting and investigating. Children observed that the steeper a ramp, the more quickly an object rolled or slide down the incline.
At BestStart Epsom, we believe that Children learn through play- by improvising, randomly exploring, compromising, negotiating, and being playful.
