Our toddlers have always loved painting and creating artwork so it is no surprise that when the art supplies come out, we have some very excited children.

We practice sharing and turn taking between friends, hand-eye coordination dipping into the paint pottle, our pencil grip holding the paintbrush, experimenting what happens when we mix the colours on our pages and explore using different textures to paint with, seeing what the paints look like with each one.

Our tamariki (children) always create such wonderful paintings to display in our classroom and take home to share with their whanau and friends.

With Christmas coming up we have been planning some extra special art activities to help decorate our classroom like a jolly Christmas grotto!
